Meet Trent Bona

I moved to Crested Butte over 15 years ago after graduating from business school with plans to ski for a few months. But I quickly fell in love with the area and decided to make it my home. Now, I’m fortunate to raise my family in this beautiful corner of the world.

Before real estate, I spent more than a decade as an outdoor sports industry filmmaker and photographer, which gave me a unique perspective on the power of great visuals and engaging marketing. I use these skills to help my seller clients stand out from the competition.

From day one in real estate, I’ve been thrilled to be part of the industry. In my first year, I was honored to be named Rookie of the Year by the Gunnison-Crested Butte Association of REALTORS®. I am also the proud co-owner of The Bona Team at Bluebird Real Estate, alongside my brother, Trevor. Together, we offer deep local knowledge and we co-op on every transaction, ensuring our clients receive double the attention and expertise at every step.

Outside of real estate, you’ll find me with my family—my wife, two young sons, and our two dogs—exploring the mountains we call home. As an avid skier, mountain biker, snowmobiler, fisherman, and hunter, I cherish the time I spend in the wild beauty of the Gunnison Valley. I’m also proud to raise my sons in the great outdoors, instilling in them a sense of stewardship for the wild places we are fortunate to have in our backyard.

In addition to my outdoor pursuits, I’m actively involved in local volunteer work, supporting causes that improve our community and preserve the environmental resources that make this area so special. I believe my success in real estate is a direct result of the incredible support from this community, and I am honored to give back as much as I can.
